Description
The shell is 8 oz waxed cotton from a mill in Dundee, Scotland, sewn in Los Angeles. Five brass snaps up the front, a tobacco corduroy under-collar, two welt hand pockets and one interior chest pocket. The lining is unbleached 4 oz cotton so the wax never touches your shirt. Elastic cuffs and a drawcord hem keep wind out.
It fits like a classic coach jacket: straight through the body, dropped just below the hip. A size medium measures 22 inches across the chest and 27 inches from collar to hem. Do not machine wash. Brush off dirt, wipe with cold water and rewax once a year with a cotton wax bar.
