How our clothes fit
Most of our tops are cut boxy with a dropped shoulder. They measure wider and slightly shorter than a standard tee in the same size. If you want a closer fit, size down. Bottoms are cut straight and true to waist size. Every measurement below is taken flat, in inches, on a garment that has already been washed.
Tops and fleece
Chest is measured pit to pit, one inch below the armhole. Length is from the high point of the shoulder to the hem.

Bottoms
Denim, cargos and trousers are sized by waist in inches. Fleece bottoms are sized S to XXL with an elastic waist.

Raw selvedge denim is unwashed. Expect about 1 inch of shrink in length and half an inch in the waist on the first soak. Choose your usual waist size.
Outerwear
The Wool Overcoat, Waxed Chore Jacket and Wool Shirt Jacket are cut to go over a hoodie, so take your usual size. The Leather Bomber fits closer through the body and will give about half an inch with wear. The Puffer is boxy; size down for a trim fit.
Care by fabric
Jersey and fleece
Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble low or hang dry. Everything is pre-washed, so shrink stays under 2 percent. Turning fleece inside out cuts pilling by half.
Raw denim
Wear it for as long as you can before the first wash. Then soak cold, inside out, for 30 minutes and hang dry. Never tumble.
Waxed cotton
Do not wash. Brush off dirt when dry, wipe with a cold damp cloth. Re-wax once a year, or when the fabric stops beading water.
Wool and leather
Brush wool after wear and dry clean once a season. Wipe leather with a damp cloth and condition twice a year with a neutral balm. Store both on wide hangers out of direct sun.
Wash less, wash cold, hang dry. Every fabric here lasts longer that way.
